"In 1974 I purchased a Gibson J45 and loved it. In fact I still
have the old Sunburst but since I got my 41002, the Gibson has
become the "guest guitar". The fret action is unbelievable, The tone
quality clear and crisp. It holds tuning regardless of how hard I
play. And every time I pull it out of its case folks immediately began
to praise it's workmanship and beauty. It is the last guitar I will
ever buy. I am a Carolina Mountain convert. Keep up the good work."

"I recently took off for a remote island from my home in western
Carolina. The sea salt and travel made me apprehensive about taking my
Collins mandolin. I bought the A mando from Ruth at her shop outside
Murphy, N.C. and couldn't be more delighted with an inexpensive (let's
face it, CHEAP) mandolin. I played most every night at Max's Conch Bar
on Long Island, Bahamas, and loved playing my Carolina Mt. mandolin. I
had my buddy Rodney Hodge set it up a little better than shelf for
$20. It didn't need much tweaking. My band members like the sound more
than my Collins on certain songs. It's not as ballsy as the Collins
but has a great bright sound and the neck is very playable. I think
the round sound hole (dare I call it the A hole as opposed to an F
hole) really gives it a loud, bright sound. So count me as one who
totally agrees with your description on the web site."
